Leap Card

Public transport in Ireland does not accept card payments.

You can use cash (change only) or a leap card.

Leap cards are prepaid travel cards that can be used on buses, trains, and the Luas.

They can be purchased at any post office and several other locations, such as filling stations and convenience stores.

At Dublin Airport, you can get a leap card from Wrights Airport Convenience Store (Terminal 1) or Spar (Terminal 2).

Leap cards cost €5 plus a minimum €5 credit fee.

We recommend getting a standard leap card as the visitor leap card is for Dublin only.
